Encountering audio or tracking issues with your Mobile-200g device? This guide will walk you through the steps to either replace or reseat the SIM card, which can often resolve these common problems.


Understanding Replacement vs. Reseating

  • Replacing the SIM card: This is done when you have a new SIM card due to activation or connectivity issues.

  • Reseating the SIM card: This is the approach if the green LED on your device blinks rapidly, indicating the card may be loose.

Materials Needed

  • Your Mobile-200g device

  • A #0 Phillips-head screwdriver

  • A new SIM card (only if you are replacing the SIM)


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Power Check: Short-press the power button.

  2. Remove Baseplate: If attached, take off the magnetic baseplate from the device.

  3. Unscrew Device: On the back, there are six screws. Remove them and keep them safe.

  4. Remove/Reseat SIM Card

    • For Reseating: Take the current SIM out and place it back in the slot.

    • For Replacing: Swap the old SIM with the new one, ensuring it is seated correctly.

  5. Lock the SIM Slot: Slide the clasp right to secure the SIM card.

  6. Test the Installation: Before screwing the device back together, press the power button for 10 seconds and look for the LEDs to flash. If the installation is correct, the lights will flash simultaneously. If not, or if the green LED blinks rapidly, repeat steps 4-6.

  7. Reassemble Device: Replace the screws in a star pattern to ensure even pressure. Reattach the magnetic baseplate if necessary.

  8. Power On and Test: Hold the power button for 10 seconds until the LEDs light up, then wait 1-2 minutes for the device to boot.

  9. Outdoor Calibration: Take the device outside or place it near a window to allow it to calibrate and connect to the network.

  10. Check Connection Status: In the mobile app, look for the color of the location pin on the tracker map. Blue indicates a successful network connection and proper reporting. Gray means the device is disconnected.


💡Tip

Encounter tracking issues? Power down, open the back, and either reseat or replace the SIM card. Secure it, test it before reassembling it, and calibrate it outdoors for network connection. Check the app for a blue pin to confirm success.
