Activating Your AssetTag Pro

Why activation matters: Your AssetTag Pro is already broadcasting when it arrives, but activation is what links the device to your account, so its location data shows up on your dashboard, under your email, viewable only by you. It's a quick, one-time step, and since the AssetTag Pro has no subscription fee, there's no payment involved.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the ACTIVATION PAGE and enter your tracker details.

    1. Locate your AssetTag Pro's serial number, found on the insert card or the sticker on the device. Enter your email and the tracker number, then click Continue.

  2. Confirm your address. Toggle "Use Existing" to auto-fill a saved address or enter it manually, then click Continue.

  3. Review and activate. On the Confirm Activation screen, you'll see the subscription cost shows as $0, since the AssetTag Pro requires no subscription. Review the terms, then click Activate.

  4. You're live. You'll land on a confirmation screen showing "Your Tracker Is Live," with a confirmation email sent and a Go To Dashboard option.

  5. Mount your device. That's it! There's no tab to pull and no buttons to press. Just mount it on your asset (see below) and it's reporting.

Completing the activation steps above automatically sets up your Logistimatics account. You'll receive a separate email shortly after with instructions to manage your account and log in to view your tracking data.

How AssetTag Pro Tracking Works (Important to Know)

The AssetTag Pro reports its location over the Hubble Network, a crowdsourced terrestrial network of 100M+ gateways built from phones, IoT hubs, and telematics devices already out in the field.

Here's what that means in simple terms:

  • The AssetTag Pro does not need a SIM card or cellular plan

  • There are no gateways of your own to install

How locations are collected:

  • The AssetTag Pro broadcasts an encrypted Bluetooth (BLE) signal constantly

  • When it passes a Hubble gateway, whether in a warehouse, on the highway, or at a customer's dock, that gateway securely relays a fresh position to your dashboard

  • Every tag feeds your fleet dashboard, where your team can see all your assets on one map, set geofences, and get alerts

Because of this:

  • You get granular, continuous reporting across the whole route rather than a fixed check-in schedule

  • Update frequency depends on how many gateways your asset passes, so coverage is strongest along populated freight lanes, ports, and metro areas

Good to know: Most long-life GPS trackers report about once a day to save battery. The AssetTag Pro checks in far more often, giving you a much clearer picture of where your assets are and where they've been.

Mounting Your AssetTag Pro

Pick the option that works best for your asset:

  1. Zip tie: Hang it by threading a zip tie through the flanges. Great for cages, racks, and handles.

  2. Adhesive: Stick it on using the adhesive backing. Clean and dry the surface first for the best hold.

  3. Screw mount: Screw it down through the flange holes for extra tamper resistance.

For the best signal, choose a spot that avoids heavy metal obstruction and isn't fully enclosed. Once it's mounted, you're all set!

Downloading and Using the App

Get the Logistimatics App

  1. Download the Logistimatics App (use the links below to navigate and download).

  2. Log in with the email and password you set up when receiving your user invite.

Viewing Your Tracker

After logging in to the Logistimatics App, follow these simple steps to view your tracker:

  1. Choose the tracker with the corresponding serial number from the list and tap "View". If your tracking page shows "No Data," don't worry. This is normal and indicates that your device hasn't reported its location yet. To resolve this, take the following action:

    1. Move the asset through an area with more foot or vehicle traffic so it can pass a nearby gateway.

    2. Wait for the tracker to update its location, which should happen shortly.

  2. Once the tracker reports its location, the tracking page will display an information flag with the tracker's location.

  3. Congratulations! Your AssetTag Pro is now online and ready to use.
