Have you ever wished you could get an alert whenever your tracker enters or leaves a certain area? That's exactly what a geofence does, and setting one up is simpler than you might think. Whether you're keeping tabs on company assets or making sure your family members are safe, geofences are an invaluable feature of your GPS tracker. Let's walk through the process together, so you can master geofence management and use it to your full advantage.
What is a Geofence?
A geofence is a virtual boundary you set on a map to monitor when your GPS tracker enters or exits that area. It's like drawing an invisible fence that helps you keep track of movement without having to constantly watch the screen.
Creating a geofence on the Mobile App
Open the app on your device.
Navigate to Menu > Geofences > New Geofence.
Customize your virtual boundary and tap 'Save' to activate it.
Creating a geofence on the Web App

Select Geofences > Create Geofence from the menu bar.
Tailor the geofence to your specific needs and click 'Save'.
Alert Management Within Your Geofence
To get notifications when your tracker enters or exits the geofence, you'll need to ensure alerts are enabled.

Editing, Deleting, and Managing a Geofence
You can edit, delete, and update your geofences through the web app by following these steps:
Sign in at app.logistimatics.com and hit Geofences.
Select an existing geofence or opt to create a new one.
Use the 'Edit' feature to adjust the name, shape, or size of your geofence.
Save your settings to keep your geofence current.
💡Tip
Use Geofences Where It Counts. Set up your geofences around places you care about most, like your home, office, or your kid's school. This way, you'll get alerts that are really important to you, without the extra noise from less important spots. It's all about getting the right updates at the right time.
