Viewing Your Tracker
After logging in to the Logistimatics App, follow these simple steps to view your tracker:
In the app, find your Protect Plus tracker by its serial number and select "View". If your tracking page shows "No Data," don't worry. This is normal and indicates that your device hasn't reported its location yet. To resolve this, take the following action:
Bring your tracker outside and go for a short drive.
Wait for the tracker to update its location, which should happen shortly.
Once the tracker reports its location, the tracking page will display an information flag with the tracker’s location.
Congratulations! Your Protect Plus tracker is now online and ready to use.
Understanding the Tracking Map
To help you read the tracking map more effectively, watch our introductory video, which covers the following key aspects:
Dots and their colors: Representing different tracker locations and statuses
Stops: Indicating where the tracker has stopped for a certain period
Satellite view: Offering a detailed view of the tracker's surroundings
Date range: Allowing you to filter location data by specific dates
Battery Life and Reporting Settings
The Protect Plus device tracks its location in real time, offering different reporting modes to optimize battery life. Each mode's approximate battery life is as follows:
Report every 30 seconds: lasts around 2 weeks (Default and recommended)
Report every hour: lasts around 1 month
Report every 6 hours: lasts around 3 months
Report every 24 hours: lasts around 18 months
Custom Reporting
To change your device's reporting mode, follow these steps within the Logistimatics App:
In the app, tap "Commands".
Pick a new reporting mode from the list.
Send the command and wait for confirmation.
Keep in mind that when using hourly intervals, the device enters sleep mode between reports to conserve battery. While in sleep mode, it won't respond to new commands until the next scheduled report. To wake the device, press and hold the power button, allowing it to accept pending commands. The sent and accepted messages are visible in the Commands log.
💡Tip
Prevent Unnecessary Draining. To conserve your tracker's battery, customize the reporting frequency based on your actual needs. If you don't need updates every 30 seconds, selecting a less frequent reporting interval will prolong battery life without compromising the tracker's effectiveness.
