Keeping your Protect Plus tracker charged ensures you're always ready to monitor what matters most. Here's a straightforward guide on how to power up your device for optimal performance.

Simple Steps to Charge Your Protect Plus

  1. If your tracker's battery is depleted, it's crucial to give it a solid 24-hour charge. You'll know it's charging when you see the red LED on the front and blue LEDs near the charging port - these should light up when you press the adjacent button.

  2. Your tracker is designed with blue LED bars above the charging port to show the charging progress. These bars will blink during the charging process and become steady once the battery is full.

  3. Has your tracker been out of action for a while? It might need a fresh start with a power cycle:

    • Gently open the tracker's front plate to reveal the power switch.

    • Remove the rubber gasket to see the switch.

    • Turn the switch OFF, then plug in your charger.

    • Flip the switch back to ON, and let your tracker charge for 7-9 hours to ensure a full battery.

Need a Hand with the Power Cycle?

If you're unsure about power cycling, just remember:

  • Open the tracker's front plate.

  • Remove the rubber gasket.

  • Switch it OFF, plug in the charger, then switch it back to ON.

Troubleshooting Tips

If the blue LEDs don't settle after a few hours, here's what to do:

  • Check for Blockages: Make sure the charging port is free of debris.

  • Clean Contact Points: A cotton cloth with a dab of alcohol can clean the charging nodes and port effectively.

  • Try a Different Power Source: Use another charger or outlet to ensure there's no issue with your current power setup.

  • Consider a Replacement: If you think your charger might be the problem, find a new one here.
